January Favorites & an UNFAVORITE!

Okay, it seems like it's been forever that I've posted a favorites blog post! It's only been about a month! Well, this time... I've got quite a variety of favorites to pick from this time! From skincare to makeup tools! I also had a basket full of fragrances but I couldn't pick just one so I left them out completely! I might do a separate post just for fragrances. Who knows!

Let's jump in to my favorites!

Numero one---

This is my Avon Ideal Flawless invisible coverage liquid foundation. It is VERY full coverage and I'm in the shade Light Beige. I think I could go with one shade lighter for the winter but since I had never tried it before I wasn't positive which one I'd need. But nontheless, I ADORE this foundation. I've tried several drugstore foundations in my time but none of them (that I've tried) compare to this one. My previous favorite was the Covergirl 3n1 whatchamacallit. It has been bumped down to #2! It's sitting there as a backup just in case I let myself run out of this. But since I am an Avon Ind. Sales Rep.... I don't foresee that happening anytime soon!
I don't know everything about the products I'm going to share in this post but the ones that I do know about... I'll let you in on all I know! =)
This foundation comes in 21 shades from light ivory to rich espresso. The one that I probably should have gotten was light ivory but I was afraid I wasn't THAT pale! The full coverage foundation DOES include SPF 15 and it gives you a luminous finish. It retails for $11. Avon often has sales, though, so you should keep your eyes open!

This one is certainly not a favorite for foundation... But I like to use it on days when I don't wear my previous favorite! It's really good at making the redness disappear but that's about all. It almost works as a face primer/bb cream type product. Almost. Now, remember... these are my opinions and how it works for my skin. Others will probably have a completely different result.
I got this Yaby product in my Ipsy Glam bag.
It retails for $13.99 on Camerareadycosmetics.com

This lotion right here became my favorite in one use! Sadly, since it came in my Ipsy bag, it was only a small sample so it only lasted about a week. But I really think I will be purchasing the full size product. When I first saw it I cringed because I saw the word "rose". I know rosewater is supposed to do wonders for your skin but the scent of rose just makes me sick if it's too concentrated. With it being a lotion for my face, I was a little wary of it. But I uncapped it and took a whiff.... It WAS AMAZING. I didn't smell rose at all actually. It was very fresh, almost a citrus scent.
It's a vegan product so I knew that it would be good for my sensitive skin. You can find it at nourishorganic.com for $21.99. The only reason I haven't purchased it yet is because it is kind of expensive for a 1.5oz bottle... Even with the discount code from Ipsy. I watch the site regularly to see if they have a sale. =)

This is a new, limited edition Avon Glimmerstick eyeliner. It's a black liner with pops of blue mixed in the formula. I couldn't get it to show up in the swatch, though! It really is pretty, and glides on like a dream/. There are 4 shades in this LE collection and they retail for $7.00.

I'm actually not even sure these are available any longer! But Avon does have a True Color Eyeshadow Duo in Black Star that is very similar. Only thing different, really, is that Black Star isn't baked. The duo that I have is their Mega Impact eyeshadow in Flash Black. The silver is nice but the black is even better. It's a wonderful matte black. Just be careful when you use it wet! It is VERY dark. When you use it dry, it's much more subtle and it leans towards being more of a deep charcoal color. Which is actually the reason I like it. =) If interested you can find Black Star at youravon.com/khendrickson.

This one is pretty self explanatory! It's my favorite eyelash curler ever. It's $1 from ELF! It comes with an extra rubber strip for your lash protection. I got mine at Target. Walmart also carries ELF now. And sometimes the Dollar Tree and Dollar General! It's easily accessible! No need to order online, unless you're like me and love getting packages in the mail. ;)

I got this at Big Lots this past Saturday and have been using it twice a day every day since then... so that's been 8 times that I've used it. I think.... LOL! I've used this brand before and it works amazingly. I love products with Dead Sea Minerals. I use it at night as a makeup remover and then I use it in the morning to get off whatever oils or dirt got on my face over night. I believe this was $2.50 or $3.00.

This I got at TJMaxx (which is one of my favorite stores ever!) I got it for $5.99. The retail price at Spa Cosmetics for $11.99, I believe. Even if I can't find it at TJMaxx again, I think I'll definitely be purchasing it from the source! Shipping will get you, though! If you just order this the cheapest shipping is $14.84. But they are located in Israel, so it's completely understandable. If you order $80+ worth of products you do get free shipping on US orders! I really don't think it would be hard to get that much in your shopping cart!

Another thing that I REALLY liked about this product is that it is cruelty free! Yay!! =)

Now to my one and only UN favorite. Are you ready for this? I should have this scheduled to post tomorrow because I'm getting ready to do throwback thursday product. LOL! I've kept this for several reasons. One being that I keep thinking that it will get better because it's Wet N Wild! And I adore me some WNW! BUT it has not. This product hasn't been around for a long time. The color pay off is horrendous and what does come off is a powdery mess. The purple shade in it, though, is quite pretty and pigmented but it does NOT save it from my trash can. You might ask why I am throwing it out after 7 years... (Yes, I know.. ewww... I couldn't help it. It's pretty and I'm a collector so I have a hard time throwing things out. Well, unless they're mascaras or other cream based products.)

Drum roll, please!!!

It's the Wet N Wild iSparkle. They say it's an ultra-intense, shimmer infused eyeshadow... HAH! I laugh at this. I couldn't even get swatches of this because the color is that bad. It just doesn't show up. And now, since I've decided to start decluttering my life, it's time to sacrifice this to the garbage can gods. Goodbye, pretty but bulky eyeshadow. I shall not miss you!

Daily Happenings:

It's been frigidly cold this month with a few 50 degree days thrown in there. The low this morning was 2 degrees. BRRRRRR!! I believe it's 50 days until Spring... I cannot wait.

We're under a fire weather advisory... should I be worried??

I have become obsessed with organization recently. And I've decided I need to make a roadtrip to St. Louis to go to the Container Store. ;)

I've been working fervently on new polishes for Glimmering Polish! I have been testing out new jellies and holos and cremes all month. (Hence the lack of polish in my favorites.)
